This medication contains two or three active ingredients: chlorzoxazone, acetaminophen, and also in some products, codeine. Chlorzoxazone is a skeletal muscle relaxant used to help relieve symptoms of painful muscle spasm. Acetaminophen and codeine are used to relieve pain. This medication may be used to treat sprains, strains, whiplash, or other traumatic injuries, as well as bursitis, arthritis, myositis, and other conditions.

Use of this medication should be accompanied by physical therapy, rest, or other suitable treatment for the condition.

This medication may be taken with food to reduce gastrointestinal irritation.

Use recommended dosage as directed by your physician, pharmacist or package instructions. Do not take more of this medication than recommended as liver damage may occur.

To avoid taking an overdose of acetaminophen, check the labels of all over-the-counter and prescription medications you are taking. Many non-prescription products contain acetaminophen.

Side effects may include dizziness, lightheadedness, and drowsiness. These may possibly be decreased by using a lower dose. Rarely, nausea, decreased appetite, blurred vision, or headache are experienced.

The effects of alcohol can be made worse while taking this medication. Drowsiness and dizziness may be increased. Regular use of large quantities of alcohol can also increase risk of liver damage. It is recommended that you not take alcohol while on this medication.

Store this medication in its original labelled container,tightly closed, in a dark place and out of the reach of children. Do not allow anyone else to use this medication.
