Diclofenac eye drops are used to reduce inflammation in various eye
conditions, and to relieve pain.
Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your physician. Do not take
more than the prescribed amount.
How to use eye drops:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
(a) Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
(b) Stand in front of a mirror and tilt your head back.
(c) With one hand pull the lower lid of your eye downward to form a
kind of pocket.
(d) With the other hand, place the dropper as close as you can to the
eye in which you are putting the drops but do not let the dropper
touch the eye.
(e) Drop the prescribed number of drops into the pocket you have made
with the lower lid. Placing the drops on the eyeball may cause
stinging.
(f) If you don't get a drop in your eye properly, apply another drop.
(g) Release the lower eyelid, close your eyes, do not blink, and
press your finger gently against the inner corner of the eye
(near the bridge of the nose) for at least one minute to prevent
the drops being drained away into the tear duct.
(h) Wipe away any excess liquid around the eye with a tissue.
(i) To keep the dropper clean, do not touch it against the eye or
any other surface.
(j) Carefully replace the cap on the dropper bottle.
