Diclofenac is used to reduce inflammation in various rheumatic disorders
and to relieve pain.

Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your physician. Do not take
more than the prescribed amount. When used for rheumatoid arthritis, it
must be taken regularly to be fully effective. It may take several weeks
before the full effect is achieved in rheumatic conditions.

Suppositories should be used as follows:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
 (a)  Remove the foil wrapper.
 (b)  Dip the tip of the suppository in water to moisten it.
 (c)  Lie down on one side and raise the upper knee to the chest.
 (d)  Insert the suppository into the rectum and place it as high as
      possible with the finger.
 (e)  Activities may be resumed, but retain the suppository
(i.e. avoid bowel movements) for several hours following
      insertion if possible.

If you are taking diclofenac more than two times daily and accidentally
miss a dose, take it is soon as you remember and then continue with your
regular dosing schedule. However, if it is almost time for your next dose,
skip the missed dose entirely and continue with your regular dosing
schedule.

If you are taking diclofenac once or twice daily and accidentally miss a
dose, take the missed dose only if you remember it within two hours of its
regular time, and then continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Otherwise, skip the missed dose entirely and continue with your regular
dosing schedule.

If you have stomach upset or heartburn that persist, black tarry stools,

hazardous tasks requiring mental alertness, such as driving, until your
response to this drug is known.

or stomach ulcers; if you are pregnant; or if you take any other medication
including ASA (aspirin), drugs to lower blood pressure, lithium, digoxin
and anticoagulants (blood thinners).
