Indomethacin regular release capsules contain a potent anti-inflammatory
and pain-relieving drug. They are used for arthritis, and for attacks of
gout.

Take the medication precisely as prescribed by your physician. It must be
taken regularly to be fully effective. In arthritic patients, two weeks of
therapy with optimum dosages are usually required for beneficial effects to
completely develop.

Do not stop taking the medication unless instructed to do so by your
physician. If you wish to stop taking it, contact your physician or
pharmacist.

Take each dose with a full glass of water, while sitting or standing. It
should also be taken at the same time as a meal, a snack, or an antacid if
prescribed, to reduce stomach irritation. If stomach pain persists, contact
your physician.

Should you forget to take a dose and not remember for several hours after
it is due, omit it completely and take only the next dose at its regularly
scheduled time. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.

In some patients, dizziness or drowsiness may occur. Avoid sedatives and
hazardous tasks requiring mental alertness, such as driving, until your
response to this drug is known.

Headaches or dizziness sometimes occur when treatment is begun. These
effects are often transient and will usually subside despite continuation
of the drug. If this persists, contact your physician.

If you have stomach upset or heartburn that persist, black tarry stools,
vomiting of brownish fluid, or any other unusual or annoying effects,
contact your physician, nurse or pharmacist.

Tell your physician, dentist and pharmacist if you have had drug allergies
or stomach ulcers, if you are pregnant, or if you take any other medication
including ASA (aspirin), drugs to lower blood pressure, and anticoagulants
(blood thinners).

Keep this medication in a labelled container, out of the reach of children and pets. Do not allow anyone else to use this medication.
