Metronidazole topical cream, gel or lotion is used to treat rosacea.
Use this medication exactly as prescribed.
Side effects are infrequent and usually mild. If any persistent or particularly annoying effects occur, contact your physician or pharmacist.
When you are using this skin preparation: 15-20 minutes after cleaning and
drying the skin, apply thinly to the area of rosacea, rubbing it into the skin. Avoid the eye area. It usually takes several weeks of treatment before improvement is seen.
Keep this medication in a labelled container, out of the reach of children. Do not allow anyone else to use this medication.
